Fragrant Snowball

Another wet day, but this beautiful  Viburnum x carlcephalum doesn't seem to mind. It has lots of these clusters  of highly scented flowers, giving it the name Fragrant Snowball.

I spent some  time today shortening  a new evening dress I want to wear  next week. My sister (an expert needlewoman) had sent me doppel nadel(  twin needles) to use on my sewing machine for the  new hem, but I couldn't get the  twin needle  stitching to work  on the dress although I had been successful when practising beforehand. Very frustrating! Had to resort to using a running stitch, which actually is perfectly ok as the  dress has a net overlay so my  stitching  isn't really visible.
