So.

My mum went home today. I'm pretty sure that she had a good time and would enjoy a return visit. I think I'll just stick a wee bit of cash aside every month so that we can make this an annual thing.

It was always part of my plan that when I had a job and was settled in it, then I would invite her over and treat her to a long weekend. I think she deserves that on a regular basis. Perhaps the next one will be at Weihnacht and she can have fun at the Xmas market.

And something odd - or maybe some people might think it odd - it was great to get back to speaking German after she left. Really. Although I can hear my accent is as thick as porridge again.
