Between fen and mountains

Dinner prep

We have guests coming for a meal tonight so a lot of the day has been spent preparing a meal. I have decided to experiment and have made a coconut caramel flan which still requires some orange zest on it and some strawberries around it. I have also prepared roasted monkfish with parsley, thyme, lemon and anchovy wrapped in Serano ham which will be on a bed of red onion and cherry tomatoes accompanied by green beans and green and red pepper basmati rice. Morbier, Etorki sheep’s cheese Brie de Meaux, goat’s cheese and Bresse bleu will be on the cheese board. The starter is a light butternut squash soup. I hope they like it!
