Turbo ming on the hill for todays women's Mountain Skills. Puddles in boots wet and blown off feet windy. Good adventure choices were a big part of the days learnings!  Lovely to be back treading old favourite familiar fells. 
My sense of home - settledness, safety - is so tied to specific fells and rivers and moors and lakes. Much much more than any house, street or village I've lived in. The Riggs at St John In the Vale definitely have a sense of coming home about them. 

Of course about 30 mins after getting back,  the sun came out. Still it's dried my kit out nicely ready for tommorows soaking.
