Sad ending

This is my Lidl Ornithogalum Dubium which was doing so well. Was wondering why the vibrant orange petals had started to droop. Last night discovered the flower stem had come away.

So the flower stem is now reviving in a vase. Not sure what will happen to the 'crown'. Wait and see.

Went to Boscombe a.m. Had a coffee and a hazelnut pastry. Lovely dinner chez S&M in the evening. Just back in time to unwind and retire.
