Bitterly cold wind….

blowing from snow covered Cairngorms and reducing the 3° temperature to well below freezing, but sun shone and the colours were good and the Sand Martins were back, having created this new nest site last year. One flew out of a nest hole as I stumbled along the burnside below. Three Wheatears were engaged in their usual chasing activity and it was very good to see them . Skylarks and Curlew were calling.
