British Long Orienteering Championships

A trip to Mulgrave Woods near Sandsend today. The courses were physically challenging as illustrated here. This young man had given everything and needed a minute or two before heading to download. The finish was uphill and on top of steep terrain, brambles and mud meant no one had much spring in their step!

The extras show Lythe church near the car park field and the finish. The finish was split in two. The car park was a 1.3km walk uphill and I needed a rest before being able to wander back.

Looking forward to a shorter course next year when I move up an age class!
