John Peel

We have had a full day out today, a rare occurrence for us. After an early morning drive through the lakes, we went to the Kendal Photographic Club exhibition in the lovely little Roundhouse at Staveley, well worth going to. Too busy talking to members of the club, so forgot to get a picture.
Came home via Shap where there was a vintage transport gathering, but we decided to go for lunch before looking at the wagons etc.. As we were eating the old vehicles drove off site blowing their horns, so another photo opportunity missed.
We always keep off major roads when we are out, so had a quick stop in Caldbeck and a walk round the churchyard I managed to get a picture of John Peels grave. Very ornate it is too.
