I know what it is now!

Visit number three to this field. The last time the crop had just come through the ground but what a difference another six weeks makes. I can confirm that it is barley but it will need a good bit of sun yet before it is ready to harvest. This time I couldn't actually see the field for the hedge, I just held the camera above my head and hoped for the best!
