When I was younger in Ireland there were very few people here who were not from Ireland. The  only difference were people who came up to Dublin from the country. They were refered to as Culchies or Rednecks. The Culchies term was a sort of put down but it lost its derogatary power over the years. You very seldom hear it in Ireland now
