Broody much?? :—)

These 2 little bantam hen have decided to be mommies… together!! :—)) Goldie ( the golden seabright) started first and should hatch this coming weekend. Boo ( the black Cochin ) should hatch 7-8 days later… we think! We tried relocating them to another pen so the chicks can hatch in safety and privacy but NOOOOO. The hens would not sit on the eggs! So back to the nest box they went. We will just have to be vigilant and try to relocate again just before or after hatch. This time we will put a big secure cage in the coop with everybody else but the babies will be contained and safe. We’ve done this before. That way everyone acclimates to the new comers without trauma. We shall see!
These girls are funny. Always snuggled up together, both on all 10 eggs! They have attitude! Especially BOO! She bites! :-)
