Massey Memorial

Today's Monday walk was a little different as we walked across the Miramar peninsula to the Massey Memorial which commemorates William Ferguson Massey who was the Prime Minister of NZ from 1912 to his death in 1925. It's a spectacular memorial but no one was really aware of what he did to deserve this spectacular site. We followed the trail down to the road and Scorching bay which had a very unusual Cafe which was totally out of food by 11.45 but did make a nice hot choc with its table service and we made it back into town by 3pm. (7.4 km 15 floors)
