Today we were visited by a man that could, and he did.
 
I don’t want to tempt providence but all is up and running – now.
 
I needed to reposition the router to where the modem was best installed, which meant reconfiguring both our telephone and ethernet.  I was hoping  that I would be able to use the existing internal phone extensions, but this was not possible, so the base station has had to be moved to by the router.  I’ve got the ‘free’ BT Digital Voice extender on order for the other extension that needs connecting.  If I need more then they don’t cost a fortune.
 
Our download is 2 or 3 Mbps below our maximum, so I’m not complaining about that.
