a lifetime burning

The masked bandit

I was woken this morning by the rain pounding on the bedroom windows as the promised westerly gale arrived.  I had considered going back to Porthcawl to take some more storm shots, as the tide was going to be suitable by mid morning, but in the event I've chosen to have a quieter day.

The weather improved after the initial downpour and, bar the occasional sharp shower and rumble of thunder its been dry.  However, the local farmer has clearly decided to spray manure on his fields so it's a bit pungent outdoors.  Hopefully we will get a decent downpour soon to take the sting off it!

In the meantime here's a blue tit in fine fettle - perched on a twig.
