Chedworth Roman Villa, Gloucestershire.

The pilae stacks or pillars which held up the floors of the villa and allowed the warm air of the hypocaust, Roman central heating system, to circulate and warm the rooms above.
There are some amazing mosaic floors here which have been incorporated into buildings for their preservation.
