Bunty

New Arrivals.

About three weeks ago I found a guinea fowl sitting on eggs in the dahlias by the roadside.  She allowed me to put a cover over her just before we had three rainy days and this morning she appeared on the lawn with eight keets (young guinea fowl).  I herded them all into a secure coop in the paddock.  Guinea fowl always have two or three 'minders' when they are nesting and three adults accompanied the keets to the safe house but only the mother went in.  Mid-April is getting late for baby birds!
