Two Figures

Our first Heritage Festival talk tonight, celebrating the achievements of two women with artistic connections to Canberra. We have one edition of Barbara Hepworth’s “Two Figures” sculpture, recently restored, just outside the National Capital Authority, which hosted the talks. the NCA is also running an exhibition of some artworks by Marion Mahoney Griffin, who played an instrumental role in the design of Canberra, with her husband, Walter Burley-Griffin. Very interesting talks with lots of great slides to illustrate their connections to, and inspiration, by nature. I was unaware of the  famous sculpture, which was illuminated nicely for a last minute blip.
