Wild ones

Today was wild and windy and wonderful to be out and walking through the fields, passing the cows with buttercups strewn across the grass. The cows seemed content to be lazing about, waiting for some sunshine and not worried by me in the slightest. At least there is plenty of grass cover and not just mud for them to lie in. (In extra)

I found what I think is a Calendula arvensis in bud, one of the many varieties of wild daisy along the side of the track, one for Wild Flower Week. Thanks Miranda.
