Hilarys View

is every bit as good as the welcome I got when calling by.

On my way to Saas Fee (although I only decided on the final destination after I got back on the train!) I was treated to lunch with Hilary, David and Hilarys View. I sloped off before lunch to explore the meadow behind the house and so good it was that I could have pitched my tent right there! Later we went out together, finding two orchids that I had not photographed before and lots of lively insect activity amongst the flowers. As I took this shot of a Bee Orchid, Orchis apifera, Hilary said "Well there's your blip for tonight!" ..... and who am I to argue :)
