Better Red Than Dead

A second day of 70 degree weather, I could get used to this. Such a joy to wander around in this light. This image is of a new to me duck, a redhead. I thought at first it had met its demise, because it was lying prone in the water. However, I realise now it was just feeding. Unfortunately, my presence disturbed it and caused it to swim away. Had to use denoise on this one to get something reasonable.

Also, great to see a wood duck pair and close enough for a decent image (see extra). Three blue winged teal showed up and I also caught a northern cardinal, tree swallows galore and half a dozen purple martins.

Extra: You're Handsome.
