Not intimidated

Normally I walk or jog by opening the front door and starting out. This evening I decided to drive to the northern end of the long Snells Beaxh, hoping to see Kuaka (godwits). S cam with em and we had a pleasant walk on the exposed sand as the tide receded. 

No Kuaka, and not many others. A white faced heron, or two; four or five Poaka (pied stilts); two or three Tuturiwhatu (dotterels); omnipresent gulls, and ducks; and black swans.(eight).
