Another day, another church

Today we moved hotels and went to see the place where the first European woman, Lydia, was baptised and in 1970 they built a church here to commemorate the occasion. Beautiful mosaics and bright colours and hordes of people doing the rounds. We had communion there and there were people taking pictures of us! Most bizarre.

We then went on to the ruins of Philippi, an archeological site where you can see what might have been the prison where Paul and Silas were detained. The Roman road is the one that they would have ridden along!
