Salmon of Steel

Busy morning working from home with a long meeting about a consultation on open access for the next research excellence framework due in 2029. 
Packed up my stuff for an overnight stay in Sheffield. Train journey was good though I did have to listen to one woman conducting endless business calls.  Sound cancelling headphones to the rescue. 
In previous years I've done this visit before the clocks change so it was lovely to be able to walk to the hotel in daylight. I can find my way without looking at a map now.  
The Salmon of Steel sits outside the railway station and reflects Sheffield's industrial heritage.
