Today's the day  . . . . . . . . . .  to live it up

Will is treating me to a pre-birthday overnight stay in the wonderful Cally Palace Hotel.

We came here last year when it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary Year of Celebrations and had a lovely time.  We've taken the whole day to get here - even though it's actually just a few miles down the road from home.  We've come via Laggan (morning coffee), Wigtown (lunch) and Whithorn (afternoon tea) - but because I've since had a swim and sauna, I'm now ready for what will, no doubt, be a delicious dinner.

And my actual birthday isn't even until tomorrow . . . . . !
