Acer flowers

My mistake: a samara is actually the winged 'fruit' that you get on acers  rather than these pretty little flowers.

For those that want to know, I'm fairly certain this is an 'osakazuki' Japanese maple. This is one of the trees on the school site, but I have a small one at home, with same leaves and flowers.
