From Now On...

To finish…

… a long day of walking and enjoying; the Louvre. Full of people and a long queue to enter via the biggest of the glass pryramids. What a fantastic place.
So today we began at the Eiffel Tower, walked to Tuileries Gardens and sat for lunch by the fountains then onto the Louvre, walked back through the gardens to Place de La Concorde, crossed four bridges and stood watching the boats along the river before walking back to our starting point.

Paris is everywhere very disrupted by preparations for the Olympics and traffic is chaotic and noisy. Much sprucing up of everything that can be and it will look amazing. Seating is being erected and access to some things is cordoned off. But on foot as we have been it’s ok.

Just one of many photos taken today but mostly I’ve just looked and enjoyed and will remember. Days to fill in, as ever. And … today it hasn’t rained and the sun has shone although without warmth. I didn’t pack for Paris in single figure temperatures!
