Abstract Thursday: "Fill the Frame"

I decided to "fill the frame" for Ingeborg's AT challenge today by photographing a small part of our patterned stair carpet and subjecting it to a fair degree of Photoshop abuse (using the Polar Coordinates filter first, but that leaves a circular pattern so it had to be stretched to fill the space). I also boosted the saturation as the carpet isn't really as garish as it looks here!

It was a quickish job as our Son#2 finally got Part 3 of his heart treatment at Freeman Hospital here in Newcastle today. It was much more straightforward than Part 2 last November. (For some years he's had occasional spontaneous episodes of a very fast heart rhythm often requiring quite urgent hospital treatment, related to surgery as a baby for congenital heart disease: these recent procedures were planned to try to stop this from happening and the consultant is optimistic of success now.) This time he was well enough afterwards to be dealt with as a day case so we're all delighted.
