they hang out on the wires and go after bugs. and occasionally larger things. I stopped to take this photo  and my sister noticed there was a Caracas (crested caracara not the orange :) ) landing a lot further away . Then it suddenly had the mate of this one chasing it off apparently it landed to close to the nest! Not fab shots but posting the Caracas and the chase in extras. And felt like NY with gray skies all day - just a lot warmer.
