Strange animal

This morning was a church leaders' meeting and I was going to write up the minutes this evening (having done another lot of minutes yesterday) but another admin job came up and by the time I'd done I'd had enough.
This afternoon I was quite lazy, partly enjoying the sunshine in the porch, but I did go for a short walk in the park while Mr Rat had a short run. I took several pics looking up into the sunlit trees and thought one might make a nice blip but then I met this odd creature - it didn't seem dangerous, even if scary looking. 
We seem to have a few creatures roaming our parks, the giant stick insect from a few weeks back wasn't far from this one.
