Escape

Lots of activity for a grey old day. I went out earlier than usual because of impending rain.

A squirrel, busy eating on a nearby branch, had my attention when the heron plopped into view. No sooner had it landed, than it flew off again. A second or two later I realised why, as a great white egret landed with aplomb.

Later, I saw the egret again, with a mini-me version (see extra). I liked that frame because it appears the youngster is learning how to fish.

Extra: Like Father, Like Son.
