Meols

A return visit to Meols and Hoylake to watch the first day of a two day Sand Yachting Regatta. Perfect conditions...almost. Blue sky, loads of sand, plenty of yachts, sunshine and an ice cream van. What's missing? Oh, yes, a bit of a breeze. 
Yesterday was "hold on to your hat" windy as the sand gusted across the beach. Today, not even a whisper of a breeze. 
The Regatta was due to start at 10am.I left at 12, by which time I'd lost all hope.
