Getting ready to go

Not to early a start for a Saturday morning. Met up with some RBL Rider friends at 08:30 to go for a ride to Chipping Campden, 31 miles away, for breakfast.
There were six of us and we first of all rode up the M5 to Tewkesbury to meet up with our other friends, Wilf and his wife Terri. Wilf has been very ill over the past 3 years but he's made a remarkable recovery. He used to ride a 2.3L Triumph Rocket. He now has a Lambretta scooter but so does Terri. She was always on his pillion seat but now she's got her own two wheels, with 'L' plates so no motorways, not that we were planning motorways but we used the M5 just to get to them. This was only the second time she'd been on the road in control of two wheels, brilliant lady.
We set off with the scooters just behind the lead bike so he could match their pace. It was a leisurely ride, which I don't mind at all, I'm not a racer I'd much rather enjoy the ride than tear through the beautiful Gloucestershire and Worcestershire countryside without being able to enjoy it.
We all enjoyed the breakfast and lots of chat and set off after a while to return a different route, via Broadway and the exciting Fish Hill. Fish Hill has long, sweeping, bends which necessitates quite a lot of leaning even to the extent of scraping the footpegs on the road, quite exciting riding. I hadn't been down that hill since I was doing my advanced rider training in 2018. On through Winchcombe, one of those lovely Cotswold towns.
The return was across some of the most stunning scenery, over the top of the Cotswold eventually dropping down into Cheltenham and back home to Gloucester. Got back at midday.
