Tijuana Day Trip

It seemed appropriate that on this milestone entry we returned to Mexico, if  only for the day. We planned a quick, walking trip across the border for a bit of shopping, some lunch, and a return to the chaos that was home for 13 years. We had planned to take the west pedestrian walkway into the heart of Tijuana. It, unfortunately, didn't open until 15:00, even though the CBP website said the hours were 6:00-14:00 (turned out those were the hours for northbound traffic, southbound didn't start until 15:00 and ran until 23:00). Regardless, we hopped across at the main portal, did our shopping, got a photo of my partner in crime - who has been with me on so many other Mexican adventures (#5,000 above), and returned to U.S. soil an hour later.
