I bought a very, very cheap cord bracelet as a prompt and a souvenir of my trip. It fell apart a day or two ago, I have had it knotted round my wrist since. But that wasn't holding either. 

Today TheGirl, knowing the bracelet was important to me, took the central charm and the two tiny beads it has and made me a new, wired bracelet with a clasp and fully beaded to match the original (sea-inspired) colour as near as possible. 

She also presented me with the other two bracelets - she's all but exhausted her bead collections this weekend producing a prolific stock of bracelets "because then I'm prepared if I need to give someone a present".
