SUCCESS.

Left for the canal this morning just after 5.30am as I thought there  would be a lovely sunrise, but it did not happen, but it was lovely and the sun came out as you can see in my extra. I was over the moon as I stood on the bridge for over half an hour with my camera pushed through the bars, it was so hard as the tree now has got leaves, but I did have success as the swan stood up briefly and I got to see some of the eggs.
Had one neighbour in for coffee this  morning and another in this afternoon. Got lots of weeding between the slabs, so a good day.
