new sand for beach...

A new layer of sand is applied to the beach.
This sand is released from the regular maintenance of the shipping channel, a shipping channel, that goes towards the Wadden Islands.
15.000 cubic meters of sand is pumped from a ship to the beach via a pressure pipe.
During this time, access to this part of the beach is not permitted due to quicksand.
The work will last approximately until May 3.
