Poor Mittens!

We managed to get a “first thing” appointment at the vets this morning for Mittens.
However, she had deteriorated quite a bit overnight and it was decided to “put her to sleep” as there wasn’t anything else they could do for her and she was really beginning to suffer. The ending was very peaceful.
Mittens moved in with us about seven years ago after someone had abandoned her. We could never understand how anyone could have done that as Mittens was such a lovely cat. She never scratched or bit and was always friendly and gentle, although I suspect the few mice she caught would not have had the same opinion!
We have no idea how old she was but at least 15 and probably more.
We will really miss her as she was such a big part of our life
