C is for......

Composer.  In this case, Sir Edward Willam Edgar.  We went to The Firs, Elgar's birthplace, now a National Trust property.  Although he left there when he was two it has been a museum dedicated to the composer since his death, created originally by his daughter, Carice.

We met Emma there and had coffee before taking a look around.  One room has been made out as his study.  This is where I took the photo.

After Emma left we had a bowl of soup for lunch in their café.

Today is also Mono  Monday,  theme 'shape'.  I've added my entry to the extras, this interesting shape was in the house's garden, it is a musical instrument played with a round rubber ended mallet, supplied.
