The warmer weeks in March and early April have accelerated the growth of our peonies so much, I thought they might open any day. Thankfully the buds are still closed. Today we had a long and somewhat scary shower of pea-sized hailstones, which finished the last of this year’s apple blossom; and we are likely to get a frosty night. 

I want to say thank you for all your good wishes in the past days.Today I am feeling much better - well enough to work.
