Stroll on Werneth Low

Today began with a lazy start because I didn't sleep brilliantly last night. Deep sleep yes, but the white noise didn't subside until well past 1am so I had a lie in.

In the afternoon I took youngest to the bank in Ashton followed by a small grocery shop at Lidl & a coffee in IKEA which bizarrely helped her relax...she had a soft drink mind, not a coffee.

Then we collected her other Mum & Shadow for a short walk up on Werneth Low. There were lots of signs warning people to keep dogs on a lead (US: Leash) because of ground nesting birds.

Clockwise from the top:

i. The nicest sign by far was a hand drawn one by Brody, aged 7. Good for Brody :-)

ii. Some trail markers. The Trans Pennine Trail marker is just for walkers - the cycling & horse riding route past here runs slightly further north along the old Godley to Apethorne rail line shown in a previous blip. The GM Ringway is a new one I need to investigate.

iii. Selfie of your Gal with Youngest. The fresh air did her good.

iv. A section of the compass point near the Cenetaph pointing towards the T.V Antenna on Holme Moss, visible in the clear but not in a muggy atmosphere as per today.
