This Northern Sky // Sylvie and Star

A very hectic day, in the best possible way. Heading to Glastonbury tomorrow, so lots of organisation to do. Meg drove down from St Albans, arriving at 10 on very little sleep, and we headed down to Morrisons to buy the weeks supply of alcohol, for 6 people. When you see it all stacked up on the checkout it does make you a little sick...

Meg had never been to Bath before, so I took her on a walking tour with yours truly as the guide, along the canal and through the most beautiful parts, by way of various shops to get Glasto supplies. The sun was out, we lounged on the crescent - pretty perfect day for being a tourist.

In the evening it was my mum's book launch, at the lovely local bookshop 'Mr B's Emporium of Book'. A duel launch, of her books 'This Northern Sky' and 'Sylvie and Star', the bookshop was packed to bursting with other authors and well-wishers. A great event, with a wonderful display both inside and out.

After the booklaunch, myself, Alex and Meg were treated to pizza by way of celebration by mum, bottle of wine and all, to top off the amazing day.

Meg and I had decided to drive as far as Shepton Mallet this evening to meet up and stay with Arminel, and drive the remaining 4 or so miles in the morning, to avoid the traffic from Bath and Bristol. Driving in the dark listening to the rolling stones pumped up my excitement to new levels.
