Day 5 Camino. Puente de Reina (22.3km)

A day of constant rain showers was arguably our first real test of our pilgrim spirit. We left Pamplona this morning and knew that rain was coming - the weather didn’t disappoint! Despite the rain, however, the journey was strangely enjoyable. The scenery was good and the company as ever varied. The power of the Camino may be working its magic on us after all. I mentioned yesterday that due to the rain showers, I was more than likely going to don my poncho. I have spared you this image and instead todays blip shows another fellow pilgrim silhouetted in front of a fine sculpture at the top of the high ridge we crossed in order to get Puente de Reina (todays destination). As you can see, the poncho is not going to be a fashion look any time soon.
