La vida de Annie

By Annie

Día de San Jorge.

St. George is big in Spain - books and wrapped red roses are on sale everywhere. It is about celebrating the feast of the patron saint of Catalonia and remembering this tradition based on love and culture.
My dear one presented me with this long-stemmed red rose from the supermarket, spoiling it by saying he also gave one to the lady on the fish counter (who has allegedly given him the glad eye a few times), and how she was blushing and smiling at the gift. Luckily I quickly realised he was having me on, as he often does, especially when he was a blipper and did that online rather than face to face. The fish lady is a daunting figure with strong biceps and a fearsome cleaver.
