My Life With Luna

By chrisA

After dropping some 'stuff' off at the charity shop in Needham Market, they couldn't take the box of books that I had, we decided to park at Needham Lake and do a circular walk through the countryside and finishing off with a circuit of the lake.   I don't know why we don't go there more often as it's quite local and there are lots of tracks and paths to follow and Luna was enjoying all the different scents along the way.
As we were walking around the lake we spotted a pair of Great Crested Grebes, quite a way out on the lake and unperturbed by us trying to photograph them.   It was good to see them and watch them diving and then resurfacing much farther away.   Hopefully they will nest in the reeds on the island in the lake.
When Ian left after lunch his car thermometer was registering 5 degrees, hence the heating is now on.   Brrr.
