A new technique...

...to get at the suet balls. I can't see it being any better than the old one or even as good though. Perhaps suet balls are new to robins and they don't know how to get to them.

It snowed 7-8 centimetres yesterday and last night, and as there was still some left from Saturday, there was about 10 centimetres on the ground on average. With up to +5°C in the afternoon, it started melting fast and there wasn't much sense ploughing it, but I did some at home and on the road to my brother's.

Spent the day mostly doing the office stuff that had piled up, with a little break to fetch barley and grass seed. They were supposed to be delivered home, but both the poor condition of our road (soft with potholes) and the snowy and icy conditions were good reasons not to. I suggested the derelict hospital area three kilometres away instead. An empty, large enough parking lot to turn a big lorry with a full size trailer around with ease. I had to drive the very bumpy roads with the tractor though, but that's better than having the heavy lorry causing problems with our road or getting into trouble there.
