Single-minded heron

There's a small channel of the River Itchen that runs parallel to a busy road and a number of bus stops. The passing traffic and people didn't inhibit this heron at all; it had spotted its prey. Shortly after I took this blip, it dived into the stream, but missed its lunch.

This was the highlight of a lovely walk around and to the south of Winchester.
