Vintage Line

A No 28 Tram to Prazeres, one of Lisbon’s vintage trams. We queued for nearly an hour get a ride, but it was great fun once we were on.

We are staying in a hotel in the Alfama district, old and hilly, all cobbled streets and steep stairways. There is much celebration this evening on the 50th anniversary of the overthrow of a repressive political regime – an almost bloodless popular uprising.
