Botanical  enthusiasm

At this time of year it knows no bounds.
Here is Mrs. K. Searching for Rare Spring Sedge. A tiny plant about the size of a darning needle. Its scienrific name is Carex ericetorum.
It grows on short calcareous grassland.

My extra shows what it looks like. You will see that you need some enthusiasm to spend time kneeling on the ground searching for it.
But Oh the sense of jubilation when you find it !!
