A few early showers were forecast before it brightened.

I was at Sizergh Castle for a late breakfast then enjoyed a dry wander around the grounds. The area across the lake from the castle where I usually take a photo from was out of bounds because of wet grass so I was forced to look for alternative compositions.

I found a book in the second hand book room (with an honesty box) located in the massive old barn (with nesting birds) and then bought a few edible goodies in the NT shop.
