Having had to make an early start almost every day while on our touring holiday it was very pleasant to get up at the normal time today especially after arriving home at almost midnight.   And what a joy to open the blinds and see golden dandelions, white garlic mustard and a few bluebells in the lane, crab apple blossom and new leaves in the hedge. I heard my first willow warbler of the year too and for the first time in months there were no puddles in the lane.
